Vacancy: European Group & ESG Controller

The European Group & ESG Controller is a new function and drives the financial control and sustainability reporting in Europe, aligned with the requirements from US headquarters. She/he provides the financial insights management needs to steer the business through internal reporting and ensure external reporting complies with relevant laws and regulations.  Taking care of the company’s financial accounting structures and processes, the European Group & ESG Controller will set Rheem Europe up for growth by ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuity.

The European Group & ESG Controller also contributes to the implementation of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the resulting reporting obligations whilst working closely together with the Sustainability Manager.

Day-to-day, the European Group & ESG Controller is responsible for the monthly and annual financial consolidation of Rheem Europe and the analysis and assessment of the figures. To ensure even greater effectiveness in reporting and consolidation, the Controller also facilitates the roll-out and implementation of the OneStream consolidation system and develops the Internal Control Framework for Rheem Europe. Critical to the growth strategy, the European Group & ESG Controller also support acquisitions through due diligence and the integration of new operating companies within Rheem Europe.

The European Group & ESG Controller reports to the Finance Director of Rheem Europe and works closely with the European  FP&A lead as well as with Finance colleagues at the operating companies. She/he interacts with the US corporate team in Atlanta on consolidation, tax, treasury, and insurance matters and liaise with the external auditor.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced auditor or controller who is ready to create the right structures and processes in financial accounting and ESG.
