Type of work

Leading the Product & Technology team (50 FTE), the Director of Product will be in charge of the full product portfolio and guide experienced product managers to ensure a comprehensive look and feel. The portfolio ranges from big revenue generating categories to experience-enhancing products that inspire user-love. The challenges for 2016 will be the integration of verticals with the horizontal platform, further monetization and the switch to mobile-only. The Director is a game-changing thinker who will turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear solutions. It will be key to bring all disciplines that touch on the product at hand together, from marketing and analytics to technology. Therefore, management skills are crucial to inspire stakeholders at all levels. Exposure to and interaction with various CxO’s provide an excellent opportunity to prepare for further career growth within the company.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a well-known and highly respected online product while inspiring all stakeholders, from engineers to marketers to CEO’s. User centricity is key, from the overall experience to those little UX details that can have huge impact on conversion. A proven track record of inspirational team management, a background in computer science (or similar, ideally complemented with an MBA) is required, as is knowledge about the UAE culture and market and Arabic language.
