About the vacancy: Director Global Monetization Strategy
As OLX has been able to establish highly liquid local marketplaces in growth markets around the world, they are now accelerating revenue development around the world. To do so, they have created a new role: Director Global Monetization Strategy. This professional will be based at the Technology & Big Data HQ in Berlin and report directly to the Global Chief Revenue Officer and CEO OLX Europe, Tim Hilpert.
The core of the role: partnering with colleagues around the world to identify monetization best practices, pressure test them with local and regional operating teams, and accelerate their usage and scalability across a global footprint. Needless to say, at OLX customer experience always comes first, so the customer will remain at the heart of monetization best practices as well.
The first step will be to kick-start expert groups around the world regarding sales, pricing, product marketing of paid services. This is a great opportunity to learn from the business before setting up next-generation monetization experiments around the world. These experiments will yield a great amount of data to analyze and benchmark. Together with the global Finance and Business Intelligence teams, the Director will then build comprehensive and insightful reporting and benchmarking tools and spread understanding of standards and best practices around the world.
