Vacancy: Digital Development Manager

The Digital Development Manager is responsible for coordinating projects concerning digital service and successfully integrating new innovation pathways. By providing innovative ideas and smart IT solutions, the Digital Development Manager is a driving force behind the organization’s digital transition. They will use existing technologies like IoT and AI to make Euro Pool System’s crates even smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient, keeping one step ahead of the competition.

Ownership of ideas

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of these technologies and a strategic vision to drive further digitalization. Maintaining crate traceability, and fully connecting and integrating crates with customer systems is a key part of that. Euro Pool System wants to provide not only a convenient, sustainable crate, but an entire ecosystem with integrated, connected solutions. It allows the company to increase their added value for customers.

The Digital Development Manager will translate ideas into validated prototypes, which builds support both inside and outside the organization to realize completely developed digital service concepts. The Digital Development Manager should take ownership of the idea throughout the entire process – from conceptualization and piloting to execution.

Project management and stakeholder management

In addition to developing ideas in the digital arena, the Digital Development Manager will be explicitly focused on project management. They will manage multidisciplinary teams and keep a close eye on the digital road map. For all innovation projects, which can be very complex, the Digital Development Manager is the direct point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Their strong content knowledge and persuasive communication skills will enable them to align internal and external partners and management. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and staying power will be essential in this role.

Knowledge of IT and IT development processes is a must, as is the unique gift of being able to clearly translate IT language to non-IT departments. An independent, proactive approach is essential to success in this role, and the ability to connect and persuade people is a must.
