Creative Group is a disruptive scale-up offering a wide assortment of e-vouchers in gaming, entertainment, prepaid credit cards, telecom, and cryptocurrency. Bringing category management to the next level is essential for their next growth spurt. They are hiring a Category Leader to lead and accelerate this.
About Creative Group
Creative Group makes online top-ups fast, safe and simple. The two key labels are Rapido and Recharge. Rapido offers a wide assortment of e-vouchers for international A-brands such as Spotify, iTunes, Netflix, Xbox, and Playstation, while Recharge offers a cross-border call and data top-ups.
Over the past five years, the company has grown rapidly through new product and market launches. Headquartered in The Netherlands, Creative Group currently operates in over 130 countries globally and has more than one million active users. A recent investment of 22 million by Prime Ventures – a leading European tech investor – will strengthen the team and open doors to faster growth. The growth strategy involves expanding the relationship with partner brands and transforming from a distribution channel to a distribution and marketing channel.
“We are impressed by the company’s performance to date, and we are convinced they will grow significantly in the coming years.” – Pieter Welten, Partner at Prime Ventures
Vacancy: Category Leader
Category Leader is a greenfield position within the Category & Buying team, one of the key pillars of Creative Group’s future growth. It’s a highly visible role, reporting directly into the Director Category & Buying, Jeroen Siegerink.
“Games, prepaid credit cards and cryptocurrency are worlds apart with unique dynamics, opportunities, and challenges. Professionalizing our approach to category management is my top priority.” – Jeroen Siegerink, Category & Buying Director
Drawing on their experience with category management within FMCG, the Category Leader will set the standard for Category Management at Creative Group. This includes establishing the most beneficial category structure, implementing the way of working, identifying key opportunities and challenges for each category and ultimately contributing to the strategic growth of the business.
Since the business is expanding and transforming rapidly, it’s the ideal environment for professionals to turbocharge their professional development and shape their own role within the business. The role of Category Leader will start off as a crossover between the FMCG approach to category management, business development, and partnership management. It will involve improving the company’s product offering, strategizing together with the International Strategy and Expansion team, and liaising with brand partners about growing their categories.
