About Spadel
Spadel is a European family-owned mineral water and lemonade company. With successful brands such as Spa and Bru, it is the market leader in the Benelux. In addition, Wattwiller, Carola and Devin are leading brands in France and Bulgaria. From its headquarters in Brussels and the Dutch office near Breda, almost 700 employees work daily to provide consumers in the Benelux, France and Bulgaria with healthy and tasty water and soft drinks. With strong regional brands and natural products, Spadel has strengthened its leading position in recent years.
First CO2-neutral beverage company in Europe
Like any publicly traded company, Spadel has ambitious commercial goals. What makes the organization different, however, is that commercial targets must never come at the expense of nature. Spadel is the first beverage company in the Benelux to be completely CO2 neutral. An achievement of which they are justly proud. For the company, sustainability is not a license to operate, but a core value deeply embedded in the DNA of the organization and all its employees.
One of the most important objectives is to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible. Spadel achieves this by, among other things, operating as locally as possible and limiting transport as much as possible. The in-house team is constantly looking for ways to make packaging more sustainable. Protecting natural water resources and promoting biodiversity are also high on the list of priorities.
Team spirit and empowerment
Spadel’s other core values are agility, togetherness, ownership and excellence. Employees are enormously ambitious; the bar can always be raised a little higher. Team spirit is a great asset – you can’t achieve on your own what you can achieve together. People are given a lot of responsibility and freedom to always get the best out of themselves and their colleagues.
