About Roland Berger
If you look at the world’s top international consulting firms, one party immediately stands out: Roland Berger is the only firm with a European background. This manifests itself in various ways, for example in the open culture, the focus on joint growth rather than mutual competition, a deep-rooted respect for diversity and the room for entrepreneurship within projects.
“Entrepreneurship is a concept that lives within Roland Berger. For us, this means really thinking with the client to determine the best plan of action for each unique situation. With us, the focus is not on theory or methodology, but on the solution that is executable and will make a difference for the client.” – Frank Schrijver, Partner
Roland Berger has 52 offices in 34 countries. The office at Zuidas in Amsterdam is young and dynamic, growing rapidly and has 125 consultants and support colleagues. Whereas previously people were mainly at clients’ workplaces, nowadays the Roland Berger office itself has taken on a more important role. The culture is close-knit and doors are open (outside calls) for each other. Everyone is focused on helping each other, both substantively on projects, and in personal development.
“If you’re going to spend so much time together, it’s important that your colleagues are really nice people.” – Cato Kleipool, Consultant
Because a large proportion of consultants enter Roland Berger as starters and are trained within the firm, the organization is well equipped to challenge and mentor professionals throughout their development. There is also room for experienced hires, professionals who bring experience from another strategy firm or another sector.
