About Marie-Stella-Maris

From men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, it is a small leap to mineral water and beauty & care products. At least it was for Patrick Munsters, founder of Scotch & Soda, when he founded Marie-Stella-Maris in 2011. A social conviction played an important role in this: that everyone in the world should have access to clean drinking water and hygiene. That mission is deeply embedded in the company’s DNA.

From that perspective, the step to water was a logical one. Later followed by care products, because for hygiene, in addition to clean water, you also need soap and related items. Over the years, this grew into a diverse range of premium essentials that enable people to take good care of themselves, both inside and out.

Corporate social responsibility as a core value

Marie-Stella-Maris donates 5% of its sales to sustainable water projects. This way, the brand and everyone who buys their products contributes to cleaner (drinking) water for people in developing countries. Since 2011, Marie-Stella-Maris has donated more than 1.4 million euros and helped more than 45,000 people worldwide. An achievement they are quite proud of at their Amsterdam headquarters.

But besides the firmly rooted purpose, profit is at least as important: Marie-Stella-Maris is also a commercial organisation with decidedly ambitious goals. Partly thanks to the involvement of Stecc Capital Group and some private investors who stepped in last year. Very concretely, the company wants to triple its turnover (at least) within five years.
