Amoena

Breast cancer is now the most frequently diagnosed type of cancer in women worldwide, accounting for almost 25%, and increasingly more women are opting for subsequent surgery for a variety of reasons. Amoena provides women diagnosed with breast cancer with highly innovative products in the areas of recovery care, breast prosthetics and breast care textiles to help them return to a normal life.

Amoena’s founder had a vision to improve the care of women with breast cancer following a mastectomy. In 1984, the company developed and patented the first silicone breast prosthesis and has since become the global market and quality leader in the breast care segment. To date, Amoena has sold over 17 million breast prostheses and 34 million breast care textiles worldwide and is the recipient of multiple patents for materials and manufacturing methods as well as international design and innovation prizes.

Based in Raubling, Germany near Lake Chiemsee, the company has 400 employees worldwide, 200 of which are located at the headquarters in Raubling. In addition to the German headquarters, where the prostheses are manufactured, Amoena has 15 subsidiaries on all continents and a sales partner network covering more than 60 countries.
